Popcorn Spinner
Client: Skip Hop
Our Role: Design Engineer
Created for Skip Hop, the Popcorn Spinner is a lively, toddler-friendly toy designed to bring movement and surprise into everyday play. With a simple push, toddlers activate the spinner and watch colorful popcorn kernels bounce and swirl inside the dome — encouraging cause-and-effect learning and active engagement.
At the heart of the design is a spinning mechanism that sends the lightweight popcorn kernels flying inside the dome, creating a playful, dynamic experience that sparks curiosity and keeps young users entertained.
Our role focused on creating the preliminary CAD assembly and stack-up models to support Skip Hop’s vendor evaluations. Early CAD work ensured proper fit, movement clearances, and part relationships — helping guide the transition from design intent to manufacturable product.
