
Clorox 2-in-1 Kitchen Sink Caddy

As part of Clorox’s new kitchen organization line, we were tasked with developing a compact drying rack solution that could flexibly adapt to modern kitchens. Our goal was to create a thoughtful, space-saving design that provided added functionality beyond typical drying mats. Through strategy development, trend analysis, and pricing research, we crafted a design that folds neatly for storage while offering multiple modes of use. The solution combines a collapsible colander, an expandable arm for over-sink drying, and a generously sized mat for larger dish loads — all designed to fit the everyday needs of modern households.
Starting from strategic insights, our team identified a growing consumer demand for products that maximize utility in small spaces.
Our solution added smart flexibility to a traditional drying rack system:
- Foldable Drying Mat: Expands to provide additional drying space as needed and folds down compactly when not in use.
- Multi-Use Collapsible Colander: Functions both as a utensil holder when dish drying and as a colander for rinsing fruits and vegetables.
- Extendable Over-Sink Arm: Allows the rack to bridge across the sink, optimizing space and improving drainage.
Each feature was designed to be intuitive, durable, and easy to store — aligning with Clorox’s brand promise of clean, simple solutions for everyday life.
